Website down this morning

Due to problems with the subnet of our internet provider, all our online services were down this morning for approximately 1 1/2 hour. Fortunately they discovered the problem quickly and all our services are back online.

New kid on the blog : Sandro Groganz

Sandro Groganz has blogged it first on his page, that urged me to do it too. :-) He will be the new guy in our company, as the VP Marketing he will be responsible for blogging more and betimes, for more and better information, for community work and all the regularly marketing stuff (of course) too. I met him first at the Open Source Business Forum this year in Nuremberg.  He presented me himself as an open minded guy, combined with strong experiences in the open source & online market. He has a good sense for humor, he has hands-on attitudes and he's focused on his goals. So we see him perfect matching with our company culture and he's providing just the necessary knowledge for our current challenges.  

So we welcome Sandro and we are happy to have him with us.  You may expect more and faster progress from us next time.

I was invited by jobTV24 yesterday, which is a german special-focus internet TV station focused on career and job topics. Aside from beeing located on a lonely island it was a very interesting experience to see what the next generation of TV looks like and of couse, to speak about Mindquarry and our story.

Mindquarry company blog is on air

Welcome everybody to the official company blog of Mindquarry, a new start-up company that creates software for information-centric organizations. We decided to set up this blog for communicating our mission and activities and for getting in closer contact with people interested in this vision.

First of all a few words about "What is Mindquarry". Mindquarry solutions combines version control, wikis, issue tracking, mailing lists servers and time tracking software. Next you might ask "Who is Mindquarry"? Mindquarry was founded in 2006 by three students of the Hasso-Plattner-Institute for IT Systems Egineering in Potsdam, Germany. Unsatisfied with existing tools for project support and infrastructure, we set out to create better tools for being more productive and getting things done.

The initial team of founders consists of Lars Trieloff (CEO), Alexander Saar (CTO) and Alexander Klimetschek (Chief Architect). Currently Mindquarry is in an early phase of the founding. During this phase we are supported by the Hasso Plattner Ventures High-Tech Park in Potsdam, Germany.

We are currently developing first prototypes and we are looking for interested users and customers to discuss our solutions in order to create a product that fulfills the needs of its users completely.
